Sucksbah. Although the food was delicious, I found this restaurant to be more of a hassle than it was worth. We took my brother there for his birthday and his birthday was ruined. The staff is very rude and have horrible attitudes! It took our server 45 minutes just to bring us our stuffed grape leaves, a problem I can understand if there's a small kitchen and the store is busy, but there was only one other table sat while I was there. Anyway, our server, Jeanette, had no sense of humor. We tried being friendly and tried to start a casual conversation, but she just rolled her eyes and showed no expression at all. When she brought out our food, my husband asked for a side of yougurt and again, she rolled her eyes and sarcastically replied "sure!!! why not!?!?!?" I understand that people have bad days, but that's not an excuse to treat people like dirt. She didn't even give us utensils when she brought out the food, and I was afraid to ask because of her attitude, so I asked another server and about fifteen minutes later, she brought it. On a positive note, the hookah was really great. We got the plum kind. However, I probably won't go back, the service is too terrible.

Rock the Casbah. Wonderful food in a high class low cost atmosphere. Wonderful unusual and fun. Lots of selectiosn to drink and eat. Bellydancing on the weekend and foot tall hookah pipes.

Rock the Casbah!. I love the Casbah Cafe. It's the best Arabic/Middle Eastern Food in JAX. Much better than Hala. They have Fab lunch specials, and a great overall menu. It's good for vegetarians too...although I'm not one. Go with a lot of friends and order the kebab+appetizer combo. That way, you'll have tons of appetizers to share...as each appetizer easily serve 3-4. The ful medames, kibbie, and jibneh is incredible. All come with fresh-baked pita bread. The mint tea (hot) is to die for, and the restaurant offers some interesting beers & wine.
