Great food and service, poor management. While in town on business, I had the pleasure to dine at Bonito with a colleague.

The food was remarkable, and I had the pleasure to meet the Chef, Joe Bracero. It is apparent this man has spent many years mastering his art!

My server, Tim, was incredibly friendly and professional. He seemed to have had a fine knowledge of wines, and recommended the perfect foods for what my friend and I were in the mood for!

Despite, the nice ambiance and the great service, I had the misfortune of witnessing the manager, Tandy, treat several of his employees like slaves. He yelled at two of them. This type of behavior has no place in the front of the house in a restaurant.

Also, while Tim was conversing with us, Tandy approached our table and greeted my colleague and I. He seemed to have had friendly intentions, but treated Tim in a very demeaning manner- right in front of us! I felt uncomfortable, and it was apparent that our server had been offended.

I have waited tables in the past, and when a server works for such a pompous character, it can really affect your mood... and service. At first, Tim was a delight, and a great server! Part of a manager's job is to uphold that positive spirit, and keep the momentum going strong. I'd hate to see how his pre-shift meetings go. I can just imagine him yelling at everyone, getting his employees all uptight and nervous before they greet their guests.

You have to try the Bento Box. I live in Houston and visit Bonito's on frequent trips to Fernandina Beach. The sushi is always tasty and fresh, although the rice used could be a bit stickier so the roll doesn't come apart - but I'm not complaining. The ham and brie sandwich is delicious. You would not be disappointed with the Bento Box with fried grouper. I find myself often craving the black bean and rice cake that is a staple in the Bento. The service is always friendly and warm. I won't visit Fernandina without a trip to Bonito's - or two!

Best Sushi!! Excellent Romantic Night out!. We always love going to Bonito's. Love the fresh sushi bar. Awesome food presentations. Retro design and bar. Superb Food! Best in town. Very Fushion.... Must go

Great food. Check out the specials first. Everything was great, but the specials were excellent. Can't wait to go back. The Ritz Carlton suggested it and I am very grateful.
