Good Food...Quite Pricey!!. We were at the Down Under in November as first time visitors. My husband grew up in the area and always remembered the sign coming across the bridge from Fernandina Beach so we gave it a shot. THe food was good but it was very pricey for what we had. We will return I'm sure because they were very friendly.

Mediocre seafood at high prices. I've dined at Down Under twice, most recently on 5/57/2006. Ordered the lobster bisque soup and sent it back. The pepper grilled shrimp entre arrived with the shrimp cold - not warm, cold like they were cooked an hour ahead of time. The mixed drinks that my parents ordered were the weakest margaritas and long island ice teas I've ever tasted. A crowded dining room and slow service topped off the experience.

Dissapointed. Party of four, first time customers. Meals were bland except the crabcake. I was particularly dissapointed with the fried lobster that was apparently cooked frozen and had a wet, jellied like center. I complained but was answered with "sorry about that" from the waitress. Paid over $100 for the bill. You can find better seafood elsewhere for a much cheaper price.
