WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD EVER. This restaurant is a big restaurant and not much smaller than a well built Captain'D. The restaurant has a Seafood pier house look to it from the outside. The decor and table and chairs are tasteful, although not very authentic.

The first time I tried this restaurant, I was very impressed that it offered a all Seafood and Good taste of menu. I was also very eager to try the Stuff flounder meal. The waitress recommend that it was her favorite meal, and kept insisting the food being great. We ended up ordering the Cheese stick and Loaded Chips for appetizer, then we order the Stuff Flounder, Chicken Sandwich, Mussel Pasta w/ House salald, Steak & Shrimp Kabobs w/ House Salad salad, and Kids chicken meal.

Problems:

1.) The Outside experience was well structured, but the tables were not very comfortable and too high as I notice others customers had to get there own chairs to accomidate for their table making it very crowded in our area.

2.) The music did not match the setting, time of the day, and destroyed our dining experience.

3.) The kitchen staff who brought our food out, is poorly trained, or most likely not trained. They kept forgetting to refill our refreshments or bring out the proper utensils to the table.

4.) The Flounder was cold after being told by the waitress that it just came out of the broiler

5.) Our food was brought out 30 minutes late by the time the we recieved all our meal , the dishes was cold.

6.) This meal was Way over priced. ;( $$

I decided to not write anything about that first experience and took under consideration that it was a local restaurant. I gave it the benefit of doubt by waiting to talk to the manager, but the restaurant manager was also the waiter... I try to give her some criticism and tips, but she didn't want to hear anything, and offered to apologies. In fact, she tried to overcome this bad moment with complementary ice cream????? I don't care about the attitude, but to try to treat me as this was nothing and that it was normal when they were full and obviously undermanned.. That is the only reason I decided to write this.

My suggestion,Do not try this food and waste your money, unless they change chefs. Servers get trained in proper customer service ethics, but, to be truthful I don't see it changing for a while.

BTW: Although the website looks nice and the food looks appetizing, the website is a lot like the food, not very well thought out. No optimization and hard to get what you need.

I would have prefer to go to Captain's D or any fast food resturant the food is much better in comparison than Whitey's Fish Camp this day.

A pleasant surprise. We thought we were taking a ride to a "So So" restaurant where we could have Sunday breakfast early on the water. WOW ,me being a 4 star chef I was pleasantly surprised! Eggs Benedict with REAL homemade Hollandaise sauce and a generous, perfectly prepared thick slice of ham. Smooth creamy cheese grits and sausage gravy made from scratch on homemade biscuits. A giant homemade pancake and great coffee.WOW you have a hard time finding that at any hotel. Served very unpretentious but acceptable. And when the under $20.00 check came we said " This is great"! We will be back for another meal.

Service was a little slow , had to wait for place settings after food arrived but server was pleasant. Atmosphere was a REAL well planned fish camp decor with lots to look at along with the water view. The whole place was very clean. Hats off to the owners! Chad and Sylvia

Whitey's fish Crap. I live 1/2 mile from whitey's. It must be the most well known eatery in The three county area. I have eaten there a half dozen times and each time I say it's the last. I guess it is because I ride by several times a day and they are usually packed and I return to see what I am missing. So far it is sub-par food, over priced and tonite the service was extremely poor. It seems like at times they have the attitude that the geography is eatable so why worry about the food. Save your money, go to Capt-D's and stare at the parking lot.
