This comment was brought to our attention and after reviewing it we felt it necessary to address several of the incorrect statements made.
To start, our prices are comparable to almost all of the local day spas and salons in Orange Park, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine. We invite you to view our menu posted on our website and judge for yourself
This year alone, our hair stylists have participated in several Goldwell and Tri hair care education classes. Our hair stylists' techniques vary as well as our prices to better fit our clients' style and needs. Panache is a strong supporter of continured education for all of its employees.
Panache employees work on commission which means if clients no-show or cancel the day of their appointment the service provider does not make a living. Panache does have a cancellation policy like most other spas across the nation. The client is made aware of the policy upon scheduling their appointment and if they have a gift certificate it is posted on a policy sheet which is included in the gift certificate envelope. No retail business or spa gives refunds on gift certificates purchased, regardless of the reason.
We have staff of Panache who have been here for 11, 7, and 5 years. At the time of a clients service the only person aware of the method of payment is the receptionist. The service providers do not treat cash paying clients or gift certificate clients any differently. Our goal at Panache is to please every client in hopes that they continue to return.
All of our clients are offered an array of refreshments including ginger snaps, juice, coffee, ice tea, lemonade, herbal tonics, herbal hot teas, and during the winter months cider. We do offer wine to our clients during their lunch or dinner. Panache is an advocate for improving the enviornment. In an effort to "go green" we offer Crystal Springs water in glasses not bottles.
Obvioulsy Ms. Pamperedlady has not had any of our other wonderful spa services such as massage therapy and skin care. We promise we would have responded to Ms.Pamperedlady's concerns if she would have brought them to the attention of management versus posting her concerns anonymously.
Certainly our reputation of serving the Jacksonville area for 24 years speaks for its self

THE HAIRSTYLISTS ARE MEDIOCRE---BUT DEMAND RTHE PRICES OF "BIG--NAME" CELEBRITY STYLISTS IN NYC---BOSTON--LA. THEY NEVER UPGRADE THEIR SKILLS AND MOVE TO OTHER SALONS ALMOST BEFORE YOUR VERY NEXT APPOINTMENT. A GIFT CERTIFICATE THAT "YOU" DONT PAY FOR IS FINE. BUT--WHATEVER THE SERVICE YOU PAY FOR---YOU WILL BE IN SHOCK AT HOW UNSPECIAL THE SERVICE WHEN YOU SEE THE UNFAIR PRICE. THEY BELIEVE HAVING AN APPOINTMENT WITH THEM IS LIKE A VISIT WITH THE POPE---WORTH THE RIDICULOUS PRICE. YOUR HAIR CAN BE DONE AS WELL ANYWHERE ELSE FOR A FRACTION. THE STYLISTS ACT LIKE THEY DON'T WANT OR EXPECT YOU TO RETURN. THERE ARE VIRTUALLY NO REDULARS EXCEPT IN THE NAIL AREA. GIFT CERTIFICATES ARE WORTHLESS IF YOU CAN'T MAKE THE DATE YOU SET UP. JUST TOSS THEM AWAY. IF YOU SPEND $500 ON GIFT CERTIFICATES AND LOSE YOUR JOB BEFORE THEY ARE UTILIZED---FORGET A REFUND. A DAUGHTER GOING TO A PROM--A MOTHER HAVING A SPA DAY FOR A GIFT----THEY WILL LIKE IT-----BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOTHING TO COMPARE IT TO---AND THEY DID NOT OVERPAY FOR IT---YOU DID...THERE IS NO REAL CHEERFULNESS AMONG THE STAFF OR ANY CARING CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO ONE WORKING THERE HAS ANY MORE EXPERTISE THAN AT AN UNPRETENTIOUS SALON. IF YOU DISLIKE THE LOOK OF YOUR HAIR--TOO BAD. BUT---YOU SHOULD HAVE FIVE GLASSES OF WINE---BEFORE YOU TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR AMAZING BILL!! PANACHE IS ONE OF THE FEW PRICEY SALONS THAT OFFERS ON WINE AND NO BOTTLED WATER. THEY WILL NOT INDULGE YOU WITH ANYTHING YOU HAVE NOT PAID DEARLY FOR. PROFIT AND PRETENDING TO BE--"THE" PREMIERR SALON AND DAY SPA IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA IS "ALL" THEY ARE ABOUT. NONE OF THE STAFF IN THE HAIR SALON STAYS EVEN SEVEN MONTHS. THERE IS NO CAMARADERIE AMONG THE STAFF. "THEY" DON'T EVEN GET ALONG. ...AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE--"IN CHARGE"... IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED----DON'T COME BACK. PANACHE DOES NOT HAVE ANY REPEAT BUSINESS EXCEPT IN THE NAIL AREA AND IF SPOUSES OR CHILDREN KEEP GIVING WIVES--MOTHERS---GIRLFRIENDS DAY OF PAMPERING GIFT CERTIFICATES. ANY SERVICE A WOMAN ACTUALLY PAYS FOR---WILL BE A DISAPPOINTMENT WHEN SHE SEES HOW LITTLE SHE GOT FOR THE PRICE. IN--"THIS" ECONOMY--PANACHE IS--"THE ONLY SALON AND DAY SPA" IN THIS AREA TO KEEP JACKING UP UNREASONABLE PRICES. THEY ARE GOUGING IN THE HARDEST ECONOMIC TIMES MOST OF US HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.

Worst Humanitarian and Customer Service Award

Panache Day Spa and Salon in Orange Park deserves the "Worst Humanitarian and Customer Service Award" for 2007/2008. The Spa would not honor a pedicure gift certificate that I gave gave to a friend of mine because the certificate expired. The certificate expired because my friend had BRAIN SURGERY and could not use it in time and by the time she recovered the salon said it was outside the expiration policy limits. When talking to Katie, the manager, in spite of our large spending habits at Panache she could not help us. In repeated attempts to contact the owner we have not received any communications. So...they have lost my business and we have published letters and a website that asks our friends, family and associates to boycott these inhumane "business people". I urge anyone reading this to do the same. It's not the money......it's the lack of human compassion that gripes me! These are heartless owners.
