Worst Service Experience. Worst service I have ever received! The staff of the Players Cafe appeared to be there to socialize among each other and eat food themselves rather than to assist customers. My "waitress" did not smile once and couldn't even be bothered to refill water glasses. She and the other wait staff were sitting at the counter talking to each other while customers had to interrupt them to ask if they sat themselves or had to wait to be seated. I have never felt more uncomfortable and unwelcome at an establishment. The food is good but unless this establishment gets a major staffing change, I would strongly recommend finding an alternative place to eat.

worst experience ever. Arrived @ 9:15 am for breakfast on a Sunday morning to meet friends-all of us local Ponte Vedrans who have lived in the area since the early 1970's. We sat @ the large table in the back w/a sign that says it is for parties of 4 or more. When it became evident to us that a few members of our party weren't going to show up, we offered to move to one of the smaller tables, and did so. We ordered our breakfast, ate and were finishing our coffee and talking (one of us was in town for only 48 hours and was headed back to Shanghai later in the day). The waitress kept coming back and asking if we needed anything else. A man (the owner?) came over and said abruptly: "We are going to need this table." At the time he said this, there was no one waiting for a table. We were all in shock. None of us have EVER had that happen to us in our entire lives either in Ponte Vedra, anywhere in this country or in any of the many foreign countries we have lived in or visited (from the most modest cafe to the most high end restaurant). We thought it was inexcuseably rude. Who asks their customers to leave? We didn't see them ask any other customers to leave. We will never return to this establishment and don't recommend it to anyone. Any place of business that can treat their clientele this way should not be patronized. There are many places to eat breakfast in Ponte Vedra. You're better off at McDonald's.

great family place. Not ONLY is it the best food, and at times creative and unique food, with friendy fast staff. The family is the NICEST family you can imagine. Nice couple that Don and Terri, and nice 3 sons! I hear one of those three sons made this web page and and he's talented and ALWAYS been a cutie patutie in MY book! Love to all of you!

Best breakfast menu and overall Value in Ponte Vedra!!!. A down home type cafe with booths, bar stools, newspapers and familiar wait staff. Our entire family can find something they like there at an affordable price and often a breakfast will be selected despite the time of day. The rest of the menu is solid with typical sandwiches and salads though the soup choices are slim but very good.

This is by far the most consistent and affordable cafe in Ponte Vedra, but they are not open for dinner so make it for breakfast or lunch.

Best breakfast in Ponte Vedra. Lunch and Dinner are great too!. Quiet little cafe perfect for a night out with the family. Service is quick and friendly. Food is great too. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. Best breakfast ever!

Best Place to have breakfast or lunch.. There are quite a few places to go at the beach, but Player's Cafe excedes them all. Great food, serveic, price and atmosphere. If you go on Saturday or Sunday, arrive early to beat the crowds.
