Its like taking a trip to New Orleans..
I love harrys.
I've been going to this particular Harry's since I was very young and it has continued to be a family favorite.
Some of the food I've tried in the past has been quite unimpressive but their are some jems on this menu that i ADORE.
The Eggplant and Crab meat napolean with hollandaise sauce is beyond incredible. (best dish on the menue)
The Courtyard is beautiful, inside is high-paced, and the upstairs is very dainty and sweet.
I recommend this place to anyone visiting St. Augustine, Exspecially ones with big parties.…
wonderful atmosphere. We went to St Augustine on our honeymoon and asked a local the best place to eat first thing he said was it had to be Harry's and the food was wonderful we both tried dishes we had not heard of but they were worth the risk! There was live music, the service was fabulous and it was a relaxing dinner all around. If you go to St Augustine you have to visit Harry's!…
Good food...eat in courtyard. My husband and I unfortunately elected to sit inside because I forgot to bring my mosquito repellent. As we passed the courtyard dining, I immediately regretted our decision since much of what the restaurant had to offer was the ambience of the courtyard. The waiter was friendly but the food was average. I ordered the jambalaya and my husband ordered the Bourbon jumbo shrimp. We both enjoyed our food but thought that the New Orleans styled dishes were unmemorable. My jambalaya's rice was slightly undercooked and a bit crunchy at a few places but the spices were great. They did serve large portions for the jambalaya which was great for a late night snack that evening.…
Beautiful ambience, awful food. we've been to st. augustine a number of times and this restuarant is always packed so we decided to check it out. the restaurant itself is beautiful and charming, our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the outside courtyard is gorgeous, but the food is just awful. the crab soup was sickeningly sweet, the jumbalaya was bland, and the fried eggplant and crabmeat had no flavor. our bread plates also had gum stuck to them when they arrived at the table--gross!!! all in all, i'd say this is a great spot to take a break from walking and have a few drinks in the courtyard, but anything other than that will leave you disappointed.…
Best jambalya I've ever had. We eat at Harry's every year when we return to FL in the spring. We have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere, service and quality of food has been fantastic. My husband usually orders something different every time and I ALWAYS order the Jambalya and we split them so we can still try out something new. I can't wait to go again...unfortunately, it won't be until next year. We have a new baby on the way, so I won't be flying anywhere this year :)…
