Horrible bait and switch. Don t order
from the selection of flowers on the website as they choose to substitute and do wildly different arrangement on their own.
I had a specific conversation about the arrangement I want for a muted toned elegant off white arrangement of lilies and roses.
What was sent were jammed in red baby roses, white hydrandea and barely opened lilies.
When I simply rang back to state ask that the next time I have an order that we stay in the theme of the arrangement we discuss and the flowers depicted, I was told I shouldn t be so particularly.
Would advise to not ever order here. Totally confused between a grocery store arrangement and an elegant occasion.

Flower substitutions.
Do not purchase flowers online with Flower Works; sight unseen...While substitutions are allowed, a recent online purchase of a flower arrangement to friends in Saint Augustine looked nothing like the original Teleflora order...A huge disappointment, I should have went with a fruit basket, at least that can not be unattractive!

Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color. Please call our staff to convey your floral wishes so that you will obtain your specific vision.

Fresh flowers, friendly service.
I stopped by at noon on a weekday to see if Flower Works could put together a bouquet for me - we were eloping that afternoon. The store is full of fresh blooms and has a great variety on display, even on a Tuesday afternoon. The lady at the counter was very friendly, the florist (Becca I think) offered suggestions as far as which flowers would work well together. I just told her the colors in my dress and she took care of the rest, putting together a gorgeous bouquet and boutonierre for me which I picked up an hour later. Wedding flowers are never cheap, but the price was actually a little less than I was expecting. The bouquet held-up well in the 85F heat and looked near perfect for another couple of days too. Based on my experience, I'd highly recommend Flower Works to anyone needing flowers in the St. Augustine area.
