We had a great time!. My husband and I recently stayed at the Sunrise Inn. We had a nice time there. They are not a franchise, but they definately make up for it with the warm family service. Maybe you had a bad experience, but we met the owners who run the office and are definately NOT drunkards! In fact it turns out they are a lovely senior CHRISTIAN couple!! We did not see any sign of any trouble and highly reccommend this place. It is not expensive and it is clean.

hey you.. I would like to respond to the idiot above. I wish you could see behind that crummy dump and realize that every place has a story. I agree, it isn't the Waldorf-Astoria, and we don't expect people to believe that it is, the matter is that it is what it is. This place has been run by close people of mine for about 30 years and back in the day it was a lively place when there were about 100 people in the vicinity of Saint Augustine. Many people never came there but the little family that tried to make it in another country other than their own loved this place because it served as a home and safe haven. I grew up there and that place has put me through private high school and college and kept the family going. The people that run this place are hard working, honest people and if you were unsatisfied with your stay then you should have picked something else. I don't know who the desk clerk was so sorry. take your negativity elsewhere, your point was made, thanks but i think you would have a different opinion if you really met the people behind the run down "crack motel". thanks.

NASTY!! RUN DOWN!! DESK CLERK DRUNK!!!!!. The desk clerk stayed drunk most evenings or the office door was locked and had to ring a buzzer to wake him up!!! Even after paying a phone deposit, the phone was constantly shut off and we had to keep trying to get an answer at the front desk. The phone was a piece of junk barely hanging from a nail on the wall!!! Some rooms share showers & toilets with other rooms (Strangers!!!). The carpets are filthy and smell like beer & liquor. The pool is more like a nasty mud puddle on the shady side of the building!! The locals call this place a CRACK MOTEL!!! (And we saw what looked like a few ROCK MONSTERS and PRO's hanging around outside the rooms drinking. (Of course the desk clerk would never have noticed as he was passed out anyway!!!) It is probably the closest thing to the BATES HOTEL you can imagine. The police are running around it alot too. Please do not stay at this hotel!!!! RUN AWAY QUICKLY!!!!!
