With its kid-friendly vibe, booth seating and late-night hours (most stores are open 24 hours), Denny's draws night owls, seniors and families with kids. The menu sticks to classic American staples: wings, chicken strips, burgers, salads and the like. But breakfast is king, with specialties ranging from skillets, egg scrambles, French toast platters and several variations on the famous Grand Slam: two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips and two sausage links.

Mediocre. We've tried it a few times. Sometimes the hostess and waitresses are okay, sometimes you get a surly attitude. Last time, we waited 20 minutes after being seated and never even got our drinks. The waitress disappeared. Others in the restaurant also were looking for their meals.

left the cheese off the ham and cheese s. A step below Waffle House, but a lot slower. English is obviously the 3rd language-cooking crew had to go back from work release at shift change, slowing everything down till the next group of trustees came in to cook.
