From the Civil War to the NFL, the young and old learn about Jacksonville together under one roof..
Overview
Everyone, from toddlers to seniors, can find something of interest at MOSH. Interactive and multimedia exhibits run the gamut, from St. John's River ecology to Civil War history to football. It's all under one roof and cheaper than a night at the movies.
Features
Currents of Time is the largest exhibit, chronicling the history of Jacksonville from the Timucua Indians to the great fire of 1901 to the NFL home team, the Jaguars. Explore military history through the Maple Leaf, a sunken Civil War steamship. Kidspace will keep the little ones busy with an indoor treehouse and giant building-block cushions. The Alexander Brest Planetarium features several nightly shows, including Cosmic Concerts--laser-light shows featuring the music of the B52s, Metallica or Pink Floyd. Along with permanent displays, special season-long exhibits help keep MOSH fresh.
