NEVER EVER AGAIN. Rude beyond compare, I went to Davids bridal on Atlantic and Southside. I was treated (from afar, no one offered to help) I had to ask for a dressing room, i tried on the dresses and left ) I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty woman...omg
I must say this was one of the worst experiences of my life! Im not going to rant and rave but basically I was treated very poorly & went elsewhere. I bought my gown in Lake City, FL and I must say it was night and day comparing the two. I shopped at A LOT of bridal shops and will also review them but I would recommend that you not go here and go to the place I actually found my gown at

Do NOT get alterations done here!!!. I went to a number of different places to try on dresses and David's had the largest selection and I was able to get my dress on sale. The dress cost $700, they convinced me to order a size 2, even though I"m a 0. The dress came in and was HUGE, so big they had to send it back and request the size 0 that I had originally wanted. So that was trip number 2. The dress comes in, they take it in and pin it to fit me, I also wanted speghetti straps added on for $75!!! It was two strings they sewed in the dress for $75. But it gets worse. That was trip number 3. You have to pay for alterations up front, now remember the dress was $700, the alterations came to $400!!!! And no one in the back spoke a word of english. It was so hard to communicate to them what I wanted and the lady was getting angry with me that she couldn't understand me. So I thought I had finally conveyed to her what I wanted and we left after being robbed for the alterations. We come back two months later for the "final fitting". Trip number 4 everything fit fine, but she put hooks inside the dress for the straps even though we had agreed on buttons and loops so they could be removable. I mean for $75 I wanted to make sure they were right. So the hooks were stabbing into me and the straps were like 2 inches too short. I stood there for 45 minutes while she bumbled around trying to figure out what I wanted. They must have scheduled 8 girls for fittings in a room that has 3 dressing rooms! So she thinks she understands what I want now and we leave and are coming back the next week to pick up the dress. We go back for trip umber 5 now, it fits, looks and feels good. We leave, I get home only to discover she didn't make the straps removable she only added a button in the back and sewed the straps into the front! I would not recommend getting your alterations done here, get the dress and then find someone else who's honest and speaks english for God's sakes!! Master seamstress my a**!!
Wedding dress hunting ground for real-world brides on a budget. Princesses need not apply..
A chic, sleek boutique, it's not. But those willing to look carefully will likely find a big-time bargain. The staff is helpful and knows the merchandise but doesn't provide extensive one-on-one attention or advice. Stores (particularly on weekends) can be swamped with brides-to-be. David's specializes in beaded satin A-lines and simple lace sheaths that just hit the $500 mark. Most labels are tasteful but of medium-quality: Gloria Vanderbilt, Lady Eleanor, Oleg Cassini and the likes.
the car salesman of the bridal world!. ok,im a newly engaged woman eager to start looking for that perfect dress!this expeirence should be a good one, after all your about to drop more money on a dress that you ever will again.i had the day off and i thought i might enjoy an afternoon trying on and getting some idea's.so i went to davids bridal.i just happened to really like 2 dresses of the many i tried on,i told the sales lady (bridal consultant may be what they are called, but these viscous woman dont deserve the title)that i would be back with my mother and sister for a final decision on the dresses, the manager talked me out of this!she told me that in end the end it was my decision and while she is right, she was taking away a vital expeirence i wanted to share with my family!before i knew it she had me buying a bra a slip a one hundred dollar hair clip i did not want or need and a veil!!!!when i clearly told i wanted neither my total was over 1300!!!not to mention i clearly told the sales lady(manager)that i was in the middle of a big weight loss and i didnt want to commit to a dress size yet being that my wedding was over a year away i wanted to finish losing all the weight, she didnt care, she cared about making a sale!this was not at all what i expected.apparently these woman work on a commission and will lock the doors til you hand over your credit card!i dont recommend them to anyone!
