Poorly executed, cheap decor. I think this is the place on Bay Meadows now. Address is wrong in Citysearch.

I tend to find the best Thai food in hole in the wall mom and pop joints, but I am not opposed to the upscale Thai place. I've been to Lemongrass and while the food is good the decor is well done and chic.

Pattaya Thai is a bit of a joke. They lack the chic decor of an upscale joint and the food of a hole in a wall. The place looks and feels cheap not chic. The wait staff failed to understand a complaint about the spice in my food. It was simply hot -- not hot and flavorful. I had to eventually just ask that they bring me some basil and lime so I could spice my own meal.

Don't waste your money here. If you want good Thai on the cheap head elsewhere, such as Taste of Thai on University. If you want Chic, try Lemongrass or their newly opened sister place in San Marco.

Something other than lemongr@ss. Another option for those on the southside of Jax for good Thai food. The service was very good, and I tried a dish on the recommendation of the waiter. The dish and the rest of our food was some of the best Thai food I have had since I left D.C.
