Full of ill-tempered red necks and racists

While dining at Sneakers one night with two of my business contacts I was entertaining from out of town, some guy outside harassed us diners by twice honking what sounded like a train horn from his car. That wasn't the problem: What WAS the problem was two moronic patrons who thought they were representing us diners' best interests by shouting "That is BULLSH**!" and "You ni**er!" at the car. My contacts and I paid our bill and left immediately. If this is what we can expect of the rank-and-file clientele of Sneakers--nothing more than unemployed Klan lackeys--, then Sneakers can kiss my a$$.

You've got to be kidding

I'm telling you up front this is a negative review for both Citysearch and Sneakers.

Today is Dec 26, 2006. The Tagline I selected from MSN was "Big Screen Action: Bars for Bowl Game Mania."

Okay, first off, the #1 rated location is Sneakers located at 10750 Atlantic Blvd Ste 8

Jacksonville, FL 32225-2941? This location has been closed at least since May!!! Now, they do have two other locations but come on.

Second, I will agree that Sneakers (at the beach) is a good place to watch the bowl games; but -- and here's a big WARNING -- if you see Sneakers appear on Citysearch for ANYTHING but football, stay clear. They claim to be a "Sports Bar"; however, they mean "Football Bar".

Yes, they have numerous televisions around the entire place and several cinema-sized screens indoors. This is deceiving however...

If there is a third-rate high school football game being played in Siberia, it WILL be on 90% of the televisions; and, they WILL have the audio for the entire place turned to the game at a deafening 100 decibels.

Try, oh, please try for yourself to get a Major League Baseball playoff game (without audio even) on more than two screens. It won't happen, unless it's the bartender's favorite team and the manager is busy avoiding his/her responsibilities making football pools while the bathrooms are out of toilet paper and four employees are out in the back "hanging out".

Oh, did I forget to mention that if you do happen to go there on a second occasion that you are immediately a "regular" and your level of service is dropped to zero because you are now EXPECTED to accept terrible service and still tip well? I guess I just did.

• Pros: Many TV's. Large, open area.
• Cons: Mgmt often neglects supervisor responsiblities to adhere to sanitary conditions and customer satisfaction. Unless it's a slow football day, you will not be enjoying any other sport.

Wrong Location

First of all unless I have been blind while in Sneakers on Atlantic Blvd I have NOT seen any outdoor dining. That location sits in a shopping center and I haven't seen anything outdoor. However, the Sneakers at the beach in Jax Beach does have outdoor dining.
