My friend took me to Als Pizza for the first time earlier in the week. I wasnt really in the mood for pizza, but I went anyway. I really liked the vibe in the restaurant; very laid back and friendly. The interior had a modern look to it and was really clean. When I looked at the menu, I was very happy with the large selection of items. I ended up getting the Mediterranean Calzone, and it was delicious and filling! The price of the meal wasnâ??t bad for a dinner item either. I would absolutely go back again!
AMAZING pizza. I have been going to Neptune Beach/jax beaches for years and no other pizza joint in town compares to Al's. You can sit outside and smell the ocean while indulging your tastebuds or eat inside the restaurant, where it is always very clean, and service is surprisingly prompt for the area. Al's a must- have stop for lunch , dinner, or dessert(their zeppoli's are great)!
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Traditional Italian dishes are served including calzones, manicotti, pastas, seafood and meat platters at the bright restaurant.
EXCELLENT pizza for not being in NJ.
Good selections of pizza pies - we ordered take out to bring back to the hotel. Very good crust, fresh tasting toppings, prices about $18 for a good large pie.
but good luck finding a parking space - this is in a VERY popular niteclub area.
LOVE AL's. I live in Ga, but everytime I'm in Jax or near Jax, I will always go to al's to eat and bring one home!
User review by mfyankee. How can this pizza be voted # 1 in jax when they use part skim milk cheese and it is so paper thin you cant pick it up ? Awful .
Pets welcome outside... Al's is one of the few places in Jacksonville where you can actually sit outside with your pet and have a casual meal. Even better than that, they actualy furnished me with a plastic bowl for water for my pup. And the food is outstanding from salads and pizza's to entrees
Good Food, Horrible Service. I have lived in the Jacksonville area for a little over three years, and besides that have only lived in New York. From what I have seen here, Al's Pizza is the best in the first coast. However, it has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. They're slow as anything, full of excuses, and rude. The worst, is their delivery process. One night, I ordered a pizza at 5 pm and didn't get it until after 11. They put you on hold for rediculous amounts of time when you call, and are incredibly rude about it. Even though they have the best pizza in town, do not go there because the poor experience is just not worth the trouble. The best branch seems to be in Ponte Vedra, and the worst, by far, is in Atlantic Beach, however, if you do choose to go.
