Editorial Review for Lynch's Irish Pub – by Robert Kaye
The Scene
Its Irish atmosphere makes Lynch's a wonderful place to enjoy a taste o' the green while partying in Jacksonville Beach. The decor is convincingly Irish: Street and pub signs from Dublin, beer banners and international coasters bedeck the walls.
The Draw
For musical merriment, the stage features a variety of live "Sham-Rock" acts, including hard-core funk, a Grateful Dead tribute band, traditional Irish entertainers, reggae, rock and roll, and blues. In addition to the ubiquitous Guinness Stout, there are 24 draft beers on tap and many more by the bottle to quench your thirst. The kitchen serves up hearty concoctions, including Irish stew, corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, bangers and mash and, of course, fish and chips.

Great place to go anytime, gets crowded on the weekend at night. I like to go in the daytime on Saturday so I can enjoy a good beer and something to eat. Live music at night, irish style.
Pros: Great place all around
Cons: parking

I must disagree with the previous reviewer as I believe that he/she didn't give the place a chance. I myself have been a regular at Lynch's for around eight years now and do not like people bad-mouthing the place. Yes, it's far from perfect but there is a lot to be said about the ambience that Lynch's holds which, in my opinion, supercedes any negative attributes it may possess. Nevertheless, in a way Lynch's may have become a victim of it's own success as far as it being super-crowded late night but there a some very obvious reasons why it has become one of Jacksonville's most famous watering holes - all of those people can't be wrong, right? I actually really enjoy the diversity of the entertainment at the pub. On any given night there could be anything from traditional Irish music to an 80's cover band which gives the place a fresh feel on any day of the week - I once went there for six days in a row and experienced a different band on each visit! I also appreciate the fact that there are always new beers on tap which means that a lazy so and so such as myself does not like to have to travel far to try new things. I also get a kick out of the charismatic staff of this establishment. Indeed, as I am now hopefully considered a regular, I may have grown fond to certain members of staff, however, from the first day I set foot in this establishment I was made to feel very welcome. In today's society it is had to find a place as welcoming as Lynch's due to the whole politically correct culture which appears to be the modern day norm. Personally, I love to drink and smoke and enjoy being in the company of those who enjoy doing the same thing. This being said, for those of you who are not content with the simple pleasures of life and may strive for unattainable standards, the chances are that you will not dig Lynch's Irish Pub - for everyone else please visit this place at least once in your life. Cheers.
Pros: Atmosphere / Pricing / Location
Cons: Sometimes a little overcrowded late night.
