The Best Pizza!. I only go to Al’s Pizza! It’s definitely the best pizza in Jax! They use fresh ingredients and have great service. I’ve had many of their pizzas and they are all great but my favorite is Hawaiian! Also, I love their tiramisu! Delicious!

needs a name change. I had Al's pizza for the first time in a long time about 2 weeks ago after surfing. I had previously had Al's only a couple of times years ago and was never to thrilled about their pizza. This time I ordered a make your own steak calzone and all I can say is wow it was damn good. Don't go for their pizza, go for dinners.

Going down hill. I use to like Al's Pizza but it has really gotten bad. If you look at the dates on the reviews it seems to bare that out. Several years ago they made a pretty good product but ever sense they have expanded into new locations the quality has suffered. Its too bad.

AWFUL pizza - Water in the middle???. This is without question the WORST pizza I have ever had - how people in JAX like this is a mystery. The only reason I can figure is that the food in general is so bad, even pizza, that they dont know the difference. Here is why it's bad: 1) the dough on the bottom middle of the pizza is WET - HUH??? check it out last time - dont know anyone who likes wet pizza; 2) there is ZERO flavor in either the sauce or the toppings.

Read the reviews. Every review raving about this place dates back to 2002. Sorry but this place is highly overrated and most of the old ratings are so over the top with their praises you can't help but wonder if the owner wrote them.

very overated. everytime i go to als it reminds me of cheap overpriced themepark food. the pizza crust has no flavor, the sauce is very ordinary, and you have to let your pizza sit for a while, otherwise, the cheese falls off. the only thing it has going for it is the great atlantic beach location, and the blt pizza, which is only good, because it's different. any other pizza place could make it better.

A strip-mall pizza joint known for fabulous pies and great service.. The Scene
Al's is a diner-style pizza parlor with plastic-covered menus, paper-wrapped silverware and strip-mall calm. The long and narrow dining room has few tables and booths to accommodate large groups easily, but it's perfect for the small groups of young people and families that dine here.

The Food
Choose your crust (thick or thin), then pick toppings from pepperoni to jalapenos, Italian sausage to pesto chicken. The thin-crust pies are stellar--perfectly crispy, not too saucy, topped with fresh veggies and oozing cheese. Specialty pies like the BLT--with mayo for sauce, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mozzarella cheese--are crowd pleasers. Tender calamari, fried just right and served with a tangy marinara sauce, can fend off the pre-pizza hunger pains. Other Italian specialties like veal parmigiana or spaghetti and meatballs are standard, but filling.
