DO NOT GO HERE unless you are a glutton for horrible customer service. My wife brought in a watch to have serviced for her elderly father. The date dial was unresponsive to being turned. The watch also needed to be cleaned. Lothar took the time to show her the dial turned but then, when she asked to watch it again, he became unhinged telling her she didn't "get it" and refused to show her. When she mentioned she would like it cleaned he said, in an annoyed voice, that these watches could not be cleaned. When she asked for the watch back and was leaving, he called her an idiot to another customer.
We took the watch to Fast Fix at the Avenues Mall - all was shown, cleaned and made to shine. Somehow they knew how to do it - Lothar didn't. When I called to complain, Lothar told me not to make a big deal about it and hung up. Seems he could have taken that same advice himself and I wouldn't be typing this.
If this is the experience you crave, Lothars your man. If you demand a higher customer service, go to fast fix.
Excellent Service & Craftsmanship – I have known Lothar for more than 30 years can tell you that he is one of the finest people & craftsman I've ever met! See for yourself and visit the Shop!
Lothar is meticulous & a talented craftsman! – Dear Lothar,
Thank you so much for taking the time to “walk” me through troubleshooting my balcony clock. When I got home from work, I did what you suggested and bent the hammer a bit more and the pendulum swung more freely as the works were not pushed back so far into the casing.
I did not dare to tell you the entire story about the UPS delivery, as you were so concerned about the safety of its arrival from Jacksonville, Florida to Reno, Nevada, hoping it would all be in one piece, which it was! There was a huge delay via UPS! The clock was shipped by truck from Florida to Arizona. Then the entire package boarded a freight train in Arizona and was to arrive in Reno, but there was a weather delay. A tornado had hit the last car of the train, causing it to derail (see enclosed article and UPS shipping history)! I have to say, when I opened the box that you had packed, all works were in place just like it was, I imagine, when it left your shop and the casing was in good condition too. No damage to ANYTHING!
You are blessed with a wonderful talent, Lothar; a master craftsman taking pride in what you do, which nowadays is hard to find in a person. I’m so happy that we crossed paths in each other lives.
Many blessings to you, and may you have many more years of enjoying your life.
Rude Phone Manners – I am a local merchant and I call other merchants occasionally to market my business. 99% of the merchants I call are pleasant and supportive.
The person who answered the phone hung up without a single word when I called and told him/her why I was calling. I hope they don't treat their customers in such a rude and unprofessional manner. What ever happended to civility?
