Thrift store or Antique store?.
I only recently found out that donations are sold back to the thrift store by the pound. The prices frustrate me because, items are priced depending on what it is or who made it or it's age. If I wanted to pay 5 bucks for a glass bowl, I'd just go to Wal Mart and get a new one. Everything in this store is overpriced, I just saw a red glass 69 pc dinnerware set, made by Avon, for 500.00!!!!
Then I saw an item with an original store price sticker for 1.49, and the thrift store has their sticker on it for 2.98! Come on, are you kiddin'? Helllloooooo? Are you people looking at the location of this store? This is NOT Mandarin or Ponte Vedra. I hope people that donate to this store realizes that, when they donate something that the thrift store might consider of some value, the thrift store boss goes online to see what it's worth before they price it. Needless to say, everything I no longer have a need for is either given to someone I know, or goes in the trash. I used to donate to this store until I found all of this out. Check out of the value of your stuff online, sell it on Ebay, and put the money in your pocket!!
