Wish I went with Classic Sod instead.
I wish I saw these reviews beforehand. I had exactly the same experience. Horrible sod (I've orderd tons of this stuff so I know what it's supposed to look like). Weeks later, still trying to nurse
it to health, and the sandy base makes it uneven. What's worse is that I ordered Palmetto, but they sent Floratam. I caught it when we were almost done laying it. I called them and they blew it off as not available. I told them it would have been nice to let me know that I was not getting what I ordered and paid for. They did not offer to make it right, just simply said "sorry, our mistake". I had to fight with them, but in the end, got nothing since I paid up front.
My neighbor (landscaper) and another friend (golf course designer) of mine both said I should have went with classic sod. They were right, just wish I asked beforehand.…
