hats off!.
Ive had an excellent time everytime I have visited Nero's.: might compare to Buca di Bepo but much more convenient to my home and less expensive too! I love the salad's, pizza's, calzone's a lover's plate and fish plates. Nero's is one of the little jewels that made me happy I moved to Jacksonville and found a decent place to eat. I am eating there tonight with my in laws, so excited. It is a real local treat. There is so much to choose from on a menu that will delight everyone.

Almost like home.
I've been living in the area for about a year now. And my apts gave me a gift certificate for you all. I can only say good things about you because my family and I had a great time at your restaurant. It almost felt like home away from home. So, please, keep the good work up because this is our new "spot".

Good variety..
I live right around the corner from Nero's (in the nice part of Arlington, as I like to say) so I end up eating there quite frequently. And whether I'm ordering pizza to go or dining in on a mid-week date night I'm always greeted with great service. The wait staff at Nero's is particularly nice, everyone is friendly and always patient. The food, however good, isn't great. Sometimes, the pizza is too dry and sometimes the pasta too bland but for the price it's always a good experience. And, the house wine is sensational! So, if you're looking for a fancy Italian restaurant for a special occasion this may not be the right place. If you're looking for a great midweek meal in a friendly atmosphere, though, Nero's is the way to go!

More than just pizza.
Tonight I took my four children, ages 6-16, for a real dinner at Nero's. Normally, we are stopping to pick up pizza on the run during the week. Do you know about their buy one get one on Tuesdays and Thursdays? The service was excellent. The wait was minimal for our dinner, just long enough for us to square away everyone's plans for the week. The food was plentiful and delicious. Feeding four children at one location has always been a problem. Not tonight. Everyone was excited about the variety in the menu and each found exactly what they wanted. The prices are very fair and it certainly should be considered a family option. A children's menu was provided with each entry costing $4. The parking lot is well lit and plentiful and the neighborhood is extremely safe. Nero's should be commended for staying put as an independent business within a neighborhood instead of jumping in to a big, box plaza. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms...four kids, remember, we checked them out!! Highly recommended is the manicotti florentine.

Nice family restaurant.
Arlington- esp this end of University- is not an area "known for murders" any more so than anywhere else in Jax. By all means, go to Nero's (the tortollini is excellent) don't take advice on the neighborhood from some idiot who doesn't live here.

Jacksonville University's student population flocks the Italian restaurant for daily specials and all you can eat spaghetti.

Get the pasta.
Nero's Pizza is located in a somewhat bad part of town, murders have been known to occur just around the block which makes this place not too safe at night and can attract some unsettling characters. Never the less, the food is superb and the service is terrific. The staff makes an attempt to know your name and is very responsive. Great place for lunch.
