Our New Mexican Spot!. Since moving to Jacksonville my husband and I have tried (very hard) to find a place with good Mexican food. After reading reviews we decided to give it a try. I do have to say that I was not disappointed. The prices were very reasonable (the check was less than $14 for my husband and I) and the food was great. Service was great and the ambiance was very much like many places you find in Mexico. This will be our new Mexican spot from now on!

Real Authentic Mexican Food!. My family and I have been going to El Rodeo for more than 6 years (that should tell you something). We have tried other mexican restaurants around OP and JAX and have found that El Rodeo is above and beyond all the others in taste, service, friendliness, and freshness. Their salsa is incredible! Their guacamole is even better! Try the fajita taco salad, it's awesome! The have a delicious AUCE buffet that is offered several times a week as well as daily specials on food and drinks. The owners and staff are friendly and eager to please you.

Real Mexican in Florida. El Rodeo is the first Real Mexican food I've had since I was in Piedras Negras, Mexico eight years ago. Absolutely amazing flavors and quality. If you've never had real mexican, you may be suprised and or expecting something else, but take my word for it, this is the real deal. Mexican is very straight forward, ungarnished, simple food with great flavors, and that's what you get here. Whoever wrote the "bad atmosphere and dirty" review below must be a stuffy old snob looking for Chi Chi's or TGI Fridays. You can tell from the outside of this place that it sure as hell ain't TGI Fridays, and just by looking at it, if that's what you're looking for then you shouldn't have gone in to begin with. If that's what you want, there's plenty of those types of places around. If you want some very flavorful, fresh, real Mexican food, try El Rodeo.

WOULDN'T GO BACK HERE EVEN IF I WERE DYING OF STARVATION!. The atmosphere is terrible -- old & dirty -- but the food is WORSE. There are many other Mexican restaurants in Orange Park that are better!

I just love that Place. El Rodeo is THE best Mexican Restaurant I have found anywhere. Good Prices, good Food. They treat you like Family when you go. Always a smile and a friendly Hello or a Hug. If you have a favorite Dish, careful, they may order it for you when you walk in so you dont even have to order. If you want soemthing different - better tell them right then...lol Don't take my word for it - go check it out yourself.

EL RODEO. This Mexican restaurant is truly authentic Mexican... I should know I am 100% CHICANA... and the food here is awesome!!!!!! and the service is top notch very friendly and family owned!!!!
