Wedding Cake/ Groom's Cake= LOVED. I live in North GA and my husband and I had decided to get married on Amelia Island. Our wedding planner suggested a couple of cake makers in the area. Once we met the staff at Sheila's and tasted the cakes we were sold! They were beyond helpful and very polite. We had a mix-mash of different cakes we liked and together we made our dream design and let them have at it. Our cake was beyond beautiful and even held up in the horrible humidity of our outside wedding venue. The best part of my experience was that since we did live in North GA we only came down 3-4 times before the wedding. I had arranged for our "groom's cake" to be served at our rehearsal dinner. This was not something my husband was aware of and we kept it a secret until we went to rehearsal dinner and the staff at the restaurant brought it out. I am very thankful to Sheila and her staff for not only our amazing wedding cake and groom's cake but also our anniversary cake we received a year later! I was impressed with them and anytime we are in the area we stop in for cupcakes or some other treats available in the shop.

Our Cake was a disaster!!!!!!!!. My family and I planned a very nice surprise party in St. Augustine for my Mother's 50th Birthday. We picked the perfect location and also the perfect cake. We printed a picture off the internet to give to Sheila's Cakes and explained the colors and flavors that we wanted. The cake cost $250.00 and when we received the cake it did not look like the picture nor were the colors correct. The blue on the cake was supposed to be a deep blue but instead it was more of a teal blue. The gold looked to be almost a burnt orange color. My brother arranged to pick up the cake at 1:45 on the day of the party but the cake was not complete until approximately 2:30 and it looked like it was a rush job. My brother witnessed Sheila painting the cake after he was waiting for at least 15 minutes. He took the cake from the shop because we only had a few hours until the party and there was nothing that could be done. When I contacted Sheila's Cakes about the problem I was told that I would not receive a refund on the cake and was offered a $50.00 store credit. When I said that this was unacceptable, Sheila informed me that she was not going to offer me anything else, no matter how much I argued with her. I am posting this in order to inform future customers of the possibility of having a cake not turn out correctly when there is no time to go elsewhere.
