One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.

Best Steaks in Jax. The 9oz filet is the best value in town. I frequent this location and the atmosphere is fun and exciting, the service is exceptional, and the people are always friendly. The Ribs are another favorite and my son loves the chicken tenders, my daughter loves the renegade sirloin.

When we want a burger, the only place to go is Longhorn. The desert pear margarita is unique, and the wild west shrimp are to die for....

Best of "just fair" lot. Great burger in size and they almost always cook it like I prefer. I've tried all of the burgers in this town and this one comes cloest to best of.
