Mediocre food and Worst Service Ever. Avoid this place. I used to eat here because I liked buying local. the pizza is decent, but I thought I was supporting a nice family place..... Family - I am not sure, Nice ABSOLUTELY NOT!! I was treated so rudely last time I dealt with them that I will never eat there again. Buyer beware - there are much better places in town with much better food and service
Good Family Restaurant. We love this place. It is a great small, family run restaurant. Every time we go in they remember us and what we like to order. Not just us.. there is always faces they go up to an talk to like old friends. The food is good. Yes...we have seen groups with small children that are sometimes louder than they should be....but what restaurant doesn't from time to time? Unfair to rate them on patrons behavior. For a nice place to eat with good food and good prices, this is a good choice. We have eaten there about once a week since the new owners have had it (PREVIOUS OWNERS WERE VERY RUDE and we stayed away). We have only had one time when the food was as good as usual.
Terrible customer service. This place is not even worth the 1 star. Went on a Friday night around 7 and they only had 2 tables occupied. Found out why, the one table with 3 kids was so loud and distrubing. We asked the waiter to say something and he said they could not control their customers. Soon after we ordered, pizza was thrown by one of the kids so we decided it was safer to pay the $20 for dinner, not eat and leave. As an owner of 2 businesses, I cannot believe any management would allow this behavior. Very disappointed! Oh and they didn't serve the bread knots! Again with another reviewer, at least I know were not to go.
Pizza cheese is not fresh.BEWARE!.
We ordered a large cheese pizza . The cheese did not taste fresh. In fact it was sour tasting.
We did not say anything to the management because they we rough looking and not pleasant when we ordered.
Hate not to be able to complain but we really were afraid to say a word.
Waste of money but at least we KNOW NOT to go there again.
great family place. I ordered pizza 3 times from here and every time it has been exceptional. I have really enjoyed this place. they even let my kids make their own pizza. Great customer service. I think the other reviews are isolated incidents. The garlic knots were fantastic!
Avoid. I also had an negative experience with the coupon from the 20$ book. And the guy I talked to on the phone when I wanted to place my order didn't really care what the coupon said. The coupon clearly reads buy one pizza get one free, no stipulations! I got pizza from another restaurant.
best fettucini alfredo in town!!. Sauce and portion size is unbelievable for the price and comes with free bread twisted into knots which is also very good! 5 stars for sure!
Alfredo Alfredo!. I can't believe the other reviewer's comments about the Fettuccini Alfredo! Although I didn't particularly like the Pasta Fagioli I ordered as an entree, I tried made boyfriend's Fettuccini Alfredo and almost cried it was so good! I have always liked this pasta but considered it a somewhat plain, generic food, at Mama Mia's I found it to be absolutely exquisite! I would definitely go back if for nothing else but this pasta dish. My companions also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My boyfriend said it was some of the best pasta he'd ever had and his sister, after taking one bite of her veal and pasta dish exclaimed that she had found her new favorite restaurant. We definitely plan to go back!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Avoid this place at all costs. We are not picky eaters, and rarely complain, but this food was horrid.
We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and they were awful. Frozen, premade, very little flavor, and watery. The spaghetti & meatballs were just as bad. You could hardly cut the meatballs they were so rubbery. Oh, and how could I forget the "twang"? They tasted just, not right, sort of maybe spoiled? Not sure.
The Alfredo Sauce was just as bad. Just an overall strange flavor.
When we mentioned to the waitress that we were very unsatisfied, she was very polite, and said she would get the manager. After waiting 20 minutes, the manager FINALLY approached our table. When we politely tried to explain the problem, he became confrontational. Asked, "What's wrong with your meatballs", "You can't cut them?", then grabbed the fork and tried to cut them, to I guess prove that you could cut them.
When I stated the Alfredo sauce didn't taste like Alfredo sauce, he asked, "Well what does it taste like?" I tasted like nothing I've ever tasted, certainly not even as good as Alfredo sauce from a can.
Finally my boyfriend said, "Just bring us the check, and deduct the entrees."
I have had bad food, and bad service in the past. The waitress was very apologetic, but the manager here was horrible.
If you want Italian, go the grocery store and buy the stuff & make your own before coming to this place. I promise you'll enjoy it much more.
New Owner - Beware. This place use to be one of the best - no longer! My chicken marsala was watery, as was the pasta alfredo. The owner didn't seem to have an issue with the quality, insisting that was the way it should be. My opinion is that alfredo sauce should actually stick to the pasta. Also, I shouldn't need a spoon for marsala sauce. To add insult to injury, when I presented a coupon from a coupon book (the $20 ones), he would only deduct $7 from the check, although it was buy 1 entree, get one free. I guess he was doing me a favor by saving me a few bucks. It will be his loss - I won't be back. Based on the comments from the table behind me, they won't be back either. If you frequented Mama Mia's in the past, stay away.
