Tips for Seventh Wonder Day Spa

October 25, 2012

The true measure of a great spa experience is when asked, "did you feel transformed and more relaxed, nurtured and even more beautiful when you left?" At Seventh Wonder, located in Ortega, the answer is always YES! Fali is so generous with her time, experience and personal attention - that when you allow yourself to relax into her expertise, transformation begins.

Each visit is tailored to your needs of the day - and soon, all is well. From facials, to pranic healing, to pedicures and more, Seventh Wonder offers more than just the service, they offer an authentic nurturing presence that lifts you from dull to dazzling.

Medispas abound to push you through the Groupon experience, but Seventh Wonder touches your mind, body and spirit with wisdom, love and light.

I have been going to Seventh Wonder for years now and I have never been disappointed. If you are looking for a big luxurious spa then this is not the place for you. They are a small spa, but the level of service, they give, is one par with some of the larger spas in Jacksonville. Not to mention, because of the fact they are a small spa there is a sort of camaraderie there. Someone always greets me with a smile on their face and goes above and beyond what is needed to make me feel at home and happy. I have never felt like a customer to them, but rather like a life long friend. So if you want to go to a place, that gives you quality service, and doesn't treat you like another source of income, then this is the place for you.

This was the worst spa experience of my life. First of all this place smells like smoke. Secondly, the technicians walk around barefoot. My cousin and I had booked a facial, massage and mani/pedi, but when we got there, on time, we were put in this hallway in steel chairs and told to put our feet in a litterbox that had been lined with a trash bag and told it was a detoxing ion foot bath. Then she strapped our arms with something (that gave my cousin a rash) and dashed some salt in the water. We had to sit there for 30 minutes, and this was something we did not ask for. The water turned a nasty rust color and actually stained my feet. The whole time, my cousin and I were looking at each other and we were ready to go. Our grandmother had been in the hospital and we were called and told she took a turn for the worse and we needed to be there immediately. Which was fine because we wanted to leave anyway. When we told the receptionist, both with tears in our eyes, she wouldn't let us leave without paying. She called the owner who said we had to be penalized for cancelling...which we didn't do. We showed up on time and still had to wait. Ended up paying 50% to leave without the option of rescheduling. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Health Department.

Waste of time and money. Waste of my time and my money! Doesn't even have a changing room/waiting room. Asked to undress in room of treatment. Played loud Irish jig type music during my massage, had to ask the therapist to turn the music down. The facial room had a bed with pretty much rags laying on top. Pedicure was very uncomfortable in a room smaller than my bathroom. If you consider yourself a spa goer, you will be disappointed. You can hear everything that is going on anywhere in the spa. Part of what I pay for when I go to the spa is the experience and ambiance. 7th Wonder Day Spa lacks this severely!!! Stay away.

Great Spa, Great Service, Very relaxed. I surprised my wife with a facial, and massage from Seventh Wonder Day Spa, and she had an absolutely fantastic time. She has since told 10 of her friends, many of whom are now patrons of the spa. I'm going for my massage next week.

I looked at many spas in Jacksonville, but Seventh Wonder had a very easy to use web site that allowed me to order the gift certificate right online. I would highly recommend this place.

Do not recommend, not relaxing.. I received a gift certificate to go here for Christmas. When I was finally able to go I made an appointment, but had to reschedule a couple of times due to work. The day of my appointment I arrived and was told they did not have me scheduled. Turned out they accidentally cancelled mine instead of someone else?s. To make up for it they rescheduled and offered free lunch which was fine.

Before the services started the one doing the procedures immediately went into a sales pitch about the products they use which turned me off. First I had a cellulite treatment done. I was expecting it to be relaxing so I could drift asleep. Instead it was very painful and the person talked during the whole time trying to promote their product. I did some research and found out that there is no product to get rid of cellulite as they claimed their product does.

Afterwards they performed the facial. I was told it would be relaxing and I could go to sleep, but I couldn?t because they kept talking to me and promoting their product. In addition, I could hear the receptionist on the phone.

Including in my package was a scalp massage which just consisted of someone barely rubbing my head.

Finally was my massage. It was suppose to be a hot stone massage, but I had to wait because someone turned the rocks off so instead I agreed to a deep tissue massage since I was very sore from exercise and work. It was so painful that several times I had to tell them so. However, my soreness was gone.

I have been to other day spas outside of Jacksonville and never experienced anything like this. My other experiences were relaxing and I felt like they truly appreciated me as a customer. Here I felt like they cared more abut selling me products.
