Do NOT Board your Dog Here!

I am from out of town and needed a place to board my dog as I was staying at a hotel that was not dog friendly. From the website, I thought this place looked nice. As I followed the directions, I realized the business was in to a strip mall. I immediately thought, where are they going to run the dogs (as my boarder in Tampa has a big lot in which to do so). Walking into the store only made me feel worse. It smelled terrible. I breathed through my mouth for the duration of time I spent in the sotre. There were puppies in plastic bins everywhere. It reminded me of a puppy mill. The dogs were barking so loud, I could barely hear myself speak. If I had had any other option, I NEVER would have left my dog there. The person working the desk informed me they leave at 7pm and do not return until 10am the next day. This is unacceptable to me. Making a dog go over 15 hours without peeing outside? A major reason I board my dog is when I know I will be unable to let him for long periods of time. I find it inhumane to make a dog cross their legs for more than 10 or so hours. The facility informed me that I could not pick my dog up until noon, given the circumstances, I made sure to be there shorlty after 12, I could tell from how long he peed he had not been let outside in hours. My dog smelled when I picked him up and he had just been bathed at my groomers in Tampa less than a week ago.

This is the FIRST time I have ever written a reivew about a business on line. However, I very strongly about making sure no one else ever boards their dog at pampered paws and that no one buys a puppy from them as well.

DO NOT get your dog groomed at Pampered Paws! I took our dog there to get groomed (washed, hair cut, nail trim) and was horrified with the results. He was shaved down to the skin in some spots and not even trimmed in others. Between the uneven cut and the fact that none of his coat was blended he pretty much looked like they took a lawn mower to him. As for the nail trim, some of his nails weren't even cut and the ones that they did cut were jagged with pieces hanging off. Worst of all my dog who loves to go places and see people was shaking like a leaf when they gave him back to me and whimpering like I had never heard before. When I asked to speak to the someone in charge (the groomer was gone and everyone there said they weren't there when the dog was groomed) the lady behind the counter gave me a telephone to speak to a woman named Tammy who then proceeded to be rude to me and even laughed as I told her how upset I was about the way the dog looked and about the fact that they may well have hurt him by shaving him that way. They did not make me pay for the service, but that does not make what they did to the dog or how blatantly rude they were right. If you want your dog to be groomed properly, go somewhere anywhere else other than Pampered Paws.

Save Your Dog(s)!!!

As I look for a NEW groomer I am reminded of the WORSE grooming experience my dog and I have ever had! This review may come a little later, but pet owners beware and actually read the reviews!

After being so excited to pick my dog up from his first grooming experience I was traumatized. He is a toy poodle and I did specify to have his paws trimmed short and him to be given a poodle cut.

When I picked him up his feet were BLEEDING, from being cut TOO short. He was scared and I was #&^%@# that I even had to pay for such a crappy job. To top it off we get home and I noticed he had a FLEA on him. Mind you, he is up to date on his vaccinations and preventative medicine so that was quite shocking. Lastly, his ears were not fully cleaned to where I even had to go back and clean them again.

These are just the TOP 3 reasons why you SHOULD NOT bring your dog to this establishment!

BEST GROOMER and PETSHOP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I walked into Pampered Paws around 12:00 without appointment, to have my 3 year old Bichon bathed and fully shaved and he was out a little after 1:00. He never had been fully shaved before, so me and my family were kind of worried to see the difference. When we got there we were SOOOOOO amazed at how *AWSOME* he looked. When we left to go to North Carolina for a week, we were also kind of scared to leave him here without us, so we asked Tammy if she could watch her for the time while we were gone and she gladly wanted to.

i highly recommend Pampered Paws for anyone who loves and cares for their baby doggy like me and my family do.
