Best Wine Ever.
Best Wine Selection in Florida! Great staff, owner Marty Pett was awesome..also has great Jazz on weekends.
I would recommend to any wine lover!
Good jazz but shady pricing... I usually don't write these things but when I saw someone else's comment RE the bill being incorrect I had to add my experience. They tried to charge me for wine I hadn't had - which atthe time I considered an honest mistake. On a subsequent visit my bill was OK but another customer had exactly the same problem. Once can be a mistake, twice a coincidence, but three times? Sounds like a policy to me!
Excellent dinner!. I walked into Simon's after driving around Jax, lost, looking for another restaurant. So, I walked in here with no expectations, no preconceptions. The bartender immediately gave me great service, offered tastes of wine when I asked about a couple and overall made sure I was happy. I was torn between two entrees and his suggestion of the herbed chicken was perfect with my wine. I thought everything was very reasonably priced, I had a great dinner and would definitely go again next time I'm in Jacksonville.
WORST SERVICE ANYWHERE!. I went to Simons for the first and only time recently. At first I was impressed, but when I went to pay my tab I found out that they are RUDE and DISHONEST! My tab was much higher than it should have been, when I asked why they informed me that they poured me something DIFERRENT and MORE EXPENSIVE than I ordered, and charged me for it. When I pointed out that I did not order that wine, their responce was "What we poured you was a much better wine" and made me pay for it! THEY WERE EXTREMELY RUDE about it, and refused to adjust my tab! DO NOT GO TO SIMONS unless you like being treated like dirt and virtually stolen from!
