Horribly inconsistent food and service!. I've been to this restaurant many times as it is one of the few brunch spots near my church. 2 notable things...1) my food has never come out right the first time and 2) there are some excellent servers and some that clearly came from McDonald's

THE PERFECT SPOT. It had been many years since I visited Jacksonville, FL and I reunited with my oldest son and his family (a group of six)... I found this restaurant using my iPhone and I could not have been more ecstatic. This was like being in an exclusive resort. The service from the waiter "Walker" was second to none; the food was to die for; the decor from local artists was serene; the brick wall gave it that perfect ambiance! I am not an outside dining person and chose to dine inside, although it was alluring to see those customers outside enjoying their setting as well (w/cool misting fans)... A truly perfect dining experience!

Great bar/restaurant with good food, excellent service and the best veggie burger I've ever had!. When I moved down to Jacksonville from New York City, I hoped to avoid the chains, so I was pleased to find the Brick. The crab cakes are delicious (more crab, less filling), so is the tuna tartar, and for vegetarians, they have the best veggie burger I have ever had. It's spacious with a coppered-topped bar on the left, a dining area with an exposed brick wall on the right, and covered seating out front, which is a great place to people watch. The artwork on the wall is changed on a regular basis, and Jazz artists perform on Thursdays. The Brick is located in the Shops of (historic) Avondale. The vibe is energetic and friendly.
