Lunch. A casual meal shared by two of more people offering an opportunity to discuss the business day thus far, or perhaps a chance to build personal relationships. Given those circumstances, WHERE to eat is as important as WHAT to eat. My colleage and I chose to go back to Sekisui. We'd been there before and had consistently "okay" food with varying degrees of service. It had been a while, but we thought we'd chance it. We were seated promptly and courteously, issued menus, given drinks and left to decide what to have. We both chose their "lunch boxes", hers @$8.95, mine @ $11.95 (as listed on the menu). Lunch was preceded by our drinks, miso soup and salad. My iced tea was undrinkable because it was a) weak, and b) still tasted of chlorine from the kitchen. Our miso soup was so bland and contained so little miso that it was really just water with strips of inedible seaweed. When our lunch boxes arrived, we were relieved that we received something wholly edible. Lunch was not a total loss, or.... The check came. My lunch box appeared as $12.95 on the check. But the menu? Didn't I see $11.95? I decided to ask about the error and was informed that what I saw was the old menu (the one I ordered from). The new price was $12.95. When I explained that I should be charged the price I saw on the menu, the "manager" intervened and TOLD me that that menu was from 3 years ago, I received more than $12.95 in food value and that I would PAY the $12.95. Then he turned his heel and huffed off angry that I was pointing out that what the customer sees as the price is what should be charged. I paid, vowing never to return again. This was my third (and final) bad experience with that place. I believe in "word of mouth". If a place is good, I'll sing its praises, but when the management of a restaurant tells me, the customer, that I are wrong because they failed to throw away old menus... BAD RESTAURANT!!! Enter at your own risk!
Pros: Nice atmosphere, great music, nice decor
Cons: You leave smelling greasy from the fumes of the open kitchen.

Hello. I am a student from Asia. I think this restaurant has most fresh fish in Jax. I went to eat there several times and the sushi was so fresh all the time. I recomend Sushi Supreme for Dinner because that is Chef's choice and the price is reasonable. ($20.00?-not sure /included miso soup and salad) I asked my server what is good appetiser for seafood lover and she gave me some choice. I tried Grilled Seabass for my appetiser. It was excellent. Sushi was awesome, too! (Beautiful!) My server was not bad. I think all the servers are oriental and not good English like me. If you want to eat fresh nice sushi, I recomend this restaurat. The food is really good. The last, please forgive my terrible English!
