A Pleasant Evening

NB Bistro was a wonderful surprise. Located in a strip mall, near a theater and a pizza place, we were not sure what to expect. It earned at least a 4.5, so we rounded up to 5 stars. .
From the time we walked in, through the entire meal, we enjoyed it. We tried a sea bass special and the seafood stew. Both were spot on...well seasoned and properly cooked. Even in the stew, the fish were not overcooked.
Heather's service was attentive. We were allowed to dine at our pace. The lighting and background noise were subdued. Evening music in the bar in the adjacent room added to a fun Saturday night.
There are more treats to check out on the menu. I plan to return.
North Beach Bistro: an inviting dining experience

My husband and I love going to The Bistro. Food is delicious, staff is professional & courteous, and the bar area offers a relaxed atmosphere to meet up with friends and family. If you prefer a more formal dining experience there is a restaurant area available.
I have also had two large business functions there and could not be more pleased with the planning and event execution.
I have never eaten a meal that I have not thoroughly enjoyed! And if I don't want a full meal, The Bistro offers many reasonably priced appetizers and there are food and drink specials offered nightly. My newest "food addiction" is the ahi tuna poke....so good!
If you have teens and young adult children, I recommend trivia night on Wednesdays. A fun time for family and friends.
We have also discovered Sunday Brunch. A variety of dishes and prices are available. This has turned into an enjoyable time for three generations of our family....no cooking or clean up for me...but still get to spend time with the family.
If you have not tried The Bistro, I highly recommend it as a family owned restaurant with amazing food and a very professional, dedicated staff.
Fantastic Dining Experience

North Beach Bistro is located near the old Atlantic Theater and the Tijuana Flats on Atlantic Boulevard. My husband and I consider it our "go to" place when we can't agree. Expertly prepared food that's both creative and delicious. The service has always been excellent. The daily specials really showcase the chef's talent. (My Mom can cook, but this food is more than cooked, pretension aside, it's crafted.) There is also a laid back bar with an adjoining art gallery featuring local artists. Great date spot.
Recommendations:
* Osso Bucco, my favorite
* Daily Pasta Specials, my husband recently had a saffron angel hair pasta smothered in a creamy pesto sauce, asparagus, and best of all? It featured local Mayport shrimp. Out of this world! We hope they add this to the menu.
* If you can't decide they usually offer a trio special for one low price, featuring a pre-selected app, entree and dessert.
A hidden gem at the beaches, locals know, now you do too.
Great Food and Atmosphere

Amy was our waitress and if you get her to wait on your table ask for someone else. Maybe she was having a bad day or upset working on valintines day. Don't know but had to ask for drinks to be refilled constantly. If the service would improve this would be a 5 star easy.
- Pros: Great Food Great band for Valintines
- Cons: Service is very slow and unorganized
