After 3 trips by 2 other contractors and with an estimate to the tune of $2500, to replace a compressor, a friend turned me on to Waychoffs. I called, they listened, and had Jason to my door in less than 3 hours. It took him less than 20 mins to tell me what 3 other guys couldn't, in 5 hours. A small rewire and a $200 part and its been working great for over 8 months. HONEST, quick, professional, cant say enough about these guys!
I have paid for their annual service contract. They were here 12/08/12 to service my 2 units. Their website states Emergency Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. When I turned on my heating unit downstairs last night it blew cold (air conditioned) air. Yes it was set to heat. The only way to get any heat was to turn it to emergency heat. I waited until 8:30 am to call (trying to be nice) and received a recording "our office will be closed Sunday December 23rd until Tuesday December 25th for Christmas, please leave a message and all calls will be returned Wednesday morning."
I had a failure after their last service but did not post a message. I am now beyond frustrated and want to help others not have the same kind of experience.
Called them on a weekend night around 6:30pm. I was surprised that they answered the phone, and they were able to be at my home and fix the problem in less than 2 hours. I was able to sleep comfortably that night. Price was fair and everything was real professional.
Wish I called someone else – After paying $6500. for a top of the line Trane system, I was surprised to find it blowing warm air less than two years later. On a hot July day, Waychoff's was busy and could not come out to look at it until after 5pm. There was no special consideration for me just because I bought the system from them.
Turns out the coils were leaking - a manufacturing defect. Waychoff's said: Pay for a diagnostic visit, then pay for another visit to install the new coils (only the parts were covered in the Trane warranty). And then pay $750 for an extended warranty because the coils will probably fail again.
Also, when I bought the new system, I told them that I wanted the outside unit to be a lower profile than the old one, so I could see over it from the back porch. No problem, the salesman says. When I got home that day the new unit outside was a foot taller than the old one.
Finally, Waychoff's price for an extended warranty was $100. higher than that of the other contractors.
