Very good experience. Very good experience; very pleasant and helpful staff; excellent location for the tourist things; good recommendations for restaurants and terrific directions to them; handicapped access bathroom very good; will definitely stay again.

We spent a lot of time out by the pool. As a family with four children, we spent a lot of time out by the pool. The pool is a nice, large size and has a hot tub next to it. There are plenty of chairs to relax in and the entire pool area was clean and looked well taken care of. We enjoyed a free continental breakfast each morning (great money saver!) - it included individually packaged muffins, cereal, danishes, toast, bagels, juice, coffee, tea, milk,... and they provided the local newspaper, the St. Augustine Register, free of charge - a nice touch.

The room was perfect for our family. It was immaculate and even smelled nice. The suite included two double beds and a sofa bed that also made into a double. There was a small refrigerator with a separate freezer, a microwave, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, safe, coffee maker, cable TV and typical hotel "goodies" (i.e. shampoo, conditioner, lotion, coffee, etc.). The shower had nice water pressure - no wimpy showers here - and I loved the curved shower curtain rod that gave a lot more elbow room!

:). The outward appearance of the hotel and the lobby were clean and spotless. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. She rushed to get us a crib & crib bedding for our room (which I'd forgotten to request when I'd made the reservation) and walked us through the steps to use their free high-speed wireless internet - even provided us with a wireless card for our laptop to use at no charge.

Clean, comfortable room. I've stayed in luxury hotels, I've stayed in B&Bs, I've stayed in average hotels, and I've made the mistake of booking in what I had no idea was a seedy motel. I've seen both ends of the spectrum of quality in a hotel, and I really have no idea what the people who have bad things to say about this place are talking about. The Quality Inn in St. Augustine's historic district is certainly not the Casa Monica Hotel or the Casablanca Inn (and yes, I've actually stayed at both of those places as well), but it is not a bad place to stay, either. My husband and I frequently vacation in St. Augustine (we go at least 10 times a year), and cannot stay in a luxury hotel each time we go as we are not rich - especially if we are staying more than two or three days. We've stayed at the Quality Inn four times over the past year during different times of the year, and have had a consistent experience each time. The staff is always friendly and willing to fix any problems, the room rates are affordable, and the rooms are clean (contrary to what others have said, there are NO bugs to be found, even during ant season - now, if you want to see an experience with bugs, check out the Ramada on I-95 - not the one in the historic district, it's bug-free, I'm talking the one that's about 10 miles from St. Augustine - we went through four rooms and each one had roaches). My only gripe is that on two stays, the pool was being cleaned and thus was drained, but on another occasion the pool was filled, and was very clean, even if small. Trust me, there are some seedy hotels in St. Augustine, but the Quality Inn is not one of them. If you're expecting a luxury hotel experience, of course you will be disappointed, but if you're just looking for a clean, comfortable room to stay in during your vacation, this place is fine.

We thought it was great. I noticed after I booked the room there were bad comments about this place but we thought it was great. I would take my family back again.
