Don't waster your time.

Thanks but no thanks. Bad attitudes! Where are the smiling faces? Why be snobs? Why so many bluehairs in here? Services were average (disappointing at these prices). Salon was dirty. MAybe the move will help, but I won't find out.

I was not thrilled

I used to watch Cory Dalton do makeovers on TV, and always wanted to go to Casablanca. When I did, I was disappointed, because I got the worst haircut I've ever had. I won't be going back. I can get a better cut at Great Clips for 20% of the cost.

I have been to this salon a few times. The last time, I was just getting ready to undergo chemo. The receptionist was incredibly kind and made a quick appointment for me. The stylist was wonderful and gave me a cut that took me from shoulder-length hair to a very cool short cut. People approach me and ask where I got my hair cut. I can't thank the staff here enough for making a trying time in my life more manageable.

• Pros: My stylist and the receptionist were professional; outstanding, really.

Not all that!

My experience with Casablanca was NOT a good one. First i don't know what they have at the front desk as a receptionist, i mean that old woman should b the spokes woman for Plastic surgery gone wrong - not at the desk of a beauty salon. She is just creepy. Second my last visit there i was in the middle of having my hair done and the owner RUDELY came over and interrupted all the stylist and took them outside for a meeting- in the middle of my appointment... My stylist came back to me visibly upset and when i asked what was wrong my stylist they said they couldn't talk about it which i understand, however my stylist was shaking and visibly upset. Whatever happened , that was the last straw for me, i will never go back . What kind of owner does that in the middle of clients appointments?? Not professional at all!

great spot for hair and service

I had to cancel my appointment with Casablanca because of a work conflict. As a result I tried another salon, what a nightmare.

Casablanca does a wonderful job. My hair is correct. I trust them. They are very professional. I will be going back to have the blotched job fixed next week as soon as they can take me.

I highly recomend this salon. I never should have tried another place.

I have been going to Casablanca for over 20 years. I only go to Zane, the co-owner. during this time, I have moved to Atlanta for a couple years, and came back here to use him. Zane & Cory are always looking for improvments, always updating and making the customer happy, and looking your best! The entire staff bends over backwards to make sure you are comfortable until your time comes, and I have never experienced any mistreatment or frown when I am there for an appointment, or just stopping by! they are a family and everyone who walks int he door is treated liek family! it is sometimes difficult to get in, especially when you have one person you use, but it is worth it! come on out of your coomfort zone, and try someplace new, TRY CASABLANCA BEAUTY SALON AND DAY SPA! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

The new location is beautiful. I can't recommend this salon highly enough. I moved to Atlanta in 2004 and can't find a comparable salon or stylist up here - unless if I want to pay $200+ for cut/color and blowdry at an ala cart salon. I see Karl; I drive back to Jacksonville every 5 weeks so that he can continue to work his magic on my hair. I constantly receive compliments on my hair - up here in Atlanta and anywhere I go for that matter! I would not go anywhere else.

• Pros: Ambience - thumbs up!
• Cons: Depending on time of day parking may be an issue

Diva Stylists and Snotty Receptionists

I had asked around for a hair salon and was referred to Casablanca: I called and attempted to make an appointment. Although I was not in any emergency and could see the stylist anytime, one week to six months from now. As the receptionist holding the receiver in her hand asked very loudly and publicly as I listened - whether the stylist would take an appointment, he yelled back to her to ask my name. The hairstylist then refused to make an appointment (anytime now or in the future). The receptionist wanted to get off the phone and did not recommend another stylist. WOW must be great to be able to rude to anyone who is not your customer already and reputation in business is not important.

SAVED ME!!

I just had my hair SAVED!! at Casablanca. I went in with a horrible color job I just had received in another salon in Avondale. My roots were brassy and my ends a grey shade of pale. Well I was nervous as you can imagine but as soon as I walked in the front door Deborah the manager put me at ease sat down with me and assured me I had nothing to worry about. She placed me with Michael Knight who took so much time with me. We had a long conversation about what had happened to my hair what I wanted and what he thought our options were. He was very honest and told me the truth about what we could do. No lies and false promises like the other salon I had been in. Well I was thrilled He gave me the best color I have ever had and the cut WOW!! My friends cant believe its me. I am so happy. I am going to try some of there wonderful spa services next. Dont wait make your appointment you wont regret.

• Pros: Wonderful Front staff The most clean salon I have ever seen Hot Stylists!!
• Cons: I wish I could have stayed longer

SPEECHLESS!

I would just like to say that I totally disagree with the other posters review! Obviously you don't know what you are talking about because you posted that after we had already moved locations, so nice try! This salon is amazing. Beautifully designed and filled with wonderful, talented people. Front desk service is unbelievable and the stylists are incredibly talented! I would not go anywhere else but here. The new location is just to die for and it's clean as a whistle! They have a full time housekeeper! I am so impressed! If you haven't visited Casablanca then you are really missing out. They have to be the best salon I have ever went to in all my years of living in Jacksonville. THUMBS UP!
