Get your facts straight......

First and foremost, Daniel's ex wife NEVER cheated on him, or anyone else for that matter, in her entire life. She is one of the most honest, trustworthy, loyal and dedicated people I know. Daniel's current wife was the one to pretend to be his ex wife's friend, all the while sleeping with Daniel behind her back (hence, the rumors.....they were trying to justify their adultery). She also forged said ex wife's name on a $3500.00 refund check sent to her, which was intercepted in the mail by Daniel. That totals about $20,000 that the two of them have stolen, collectively. The list of "bad things" goes on and on, however, to rehash it all is pointless. We are all so proud of the former Mrs. McGinley and the "life lessons" she has overcome concerning her ex husband and his family. She is successful and has come a long way in the years I have known her. I am very proud to say she is my friend. Therefore, "momaB", you should find out what the TRUE story is before you put lies on this website.

Now...let's get down to business. What kind of people do we have running our church? I know God would never approve of the "goings on" that I've been reading here. I have never been more ashamed to be a member of Old Plank im my life. Bravo to the church, I did not know about Joel, Brittney or Josh Coleman. Thats another one they have tried to hide. We need to take a huge step back take a look at our church and kick these people out! How are we ever suppose to lead anyone to the Lord. Pastor McGinley, you have exellent sermons but what you preach is obviously not what you are teaching your family.

Be BOLD

I simply wish those who are bold enough to write negative and derogatory remarks would be BOLD enough to use their real names rather than hide behind ambiguous screen names. Old Plank Bapist is a God honoring and Jesus worshipping church. It is not perfect, nor will it ever be. IF those with such hurtful things to say, would simply PRAY for those they write about, things might change for all. I'm thankful for our church, our pastor, the ministries and the staff. Isn't it time to ... Just give it to God and let Him deal with it all???

I just had to make a comment to the person who wrote this last review... 1st of all, You are hillarious and telling such truth! 2nd, how are you going to say a curse word and Jesus Christ in the same paragraph. 3rd I particularly enjoyed the part where you said all the women are sluts!!! HAHAHAHA so true! More than half get knocked up so they can trap them a man into marrying them. 4th, don't forget about the men who just can not keep it in their pants. How many men their run around on their wives. LOL Oh ya'll are some funny people at Old Plank

The school and church

I went to school there for three years. I finally got out because I didn't want to hear the word jesus anymore. This school dragged me away from Christ for so many reasons.Students and the staff were constantly nagging on me because my hair was red or something like that or I had my hair in my face and they talked about my family because my uncle is gay and they dislike homosexuals. I think the members there favor to much, Most of the kids parents work up there or either there related to Bro Larry and they get treated different from other kids there because of that. The church is in it for money. I don't even think that the teachers even have there license to teach D:When I attended there you could where pants for a day for 10 dollars. That is teaching us that money can get what we want. I think that was ridiculous what if someones parents could not afford that? !!! Most of the women who there are fake and sluts lol honestly look at them! people are steady cheating up there haha man that's just twisted men up there can't keep there little buddy in his pants lol Most of the people talk about other people's business up there. They strongly dislike my family for whatever reason lol The church is extremely prejudice. I hate the fact that I let this school effect my relationship with Jesus Christ. You can give me a thumbs down but I am just speaking the truth and don't get all mad at me because you know I am right. Alot of these people who attend here are bigots!!!!!

lol yeah there lame up there. They hate my family hehe to bad I live right by them I wish people weren't so dumb to see what they truly are:D

Welcoming and warm to me - a former visitor --new member

I have really enjoyed the first few months I have been at Old Plank. I have been welcomed by so many, I wish I could remember everyones names better. This church is very cozy and down to earth. No they are not all perfect and neither am I or you. The pastors sermons are easy to understand and biblically based. Although alot of families attend Old Plank, no one made me feel unwanted because I wasn't family. The Nursery is great and the whole church takes turns. The childrens director, Ms. Kim has really been so kind to my daughter and is always calm and friendly. The middle schoolers program, AIMS(awesome intelligent middle schoolers) is directed by the kindest couple who take so much time with the kids and really put forth so much effort. I am in a ladies class that has blown me away with the amount of true kindness they have for one another and me. This church has made me really want to be there and grow with them spiritually. I feel free to not be ashamed of anything in my past. God has forgiven me and they are more about mercy at Old Plank than judgement. I dont really understand the negative ratings - but I have enjoyed this church since June and this is my opinion and I would love for you to join us this Sunday and experience this church for yourself. We'll have a place for you here.

Old Plank

I think every staff member in that school is all about favorites.Every time i go up to the school i get dirty looks.Just because someones daughters ex boyfriend hangs out with a girl she is jealous of dosent mean everyone needs to judge.Before you do judge other peoples kids you need to worry about what yours are doing first.I can gurantee everyones kid up there has did something wrong and are still doing them.It is ridiculous how this is supposed to be a church and your supposed to feel welcome.Everyone talks about everyone up there.What they need to do is get over themselves

Greatest church this side of Heaven!!

I must say to all of the opposing "Christians" of Old Plank, that God knows who you are and is waiting with open arms for you to ask for forgivness for your negativity. If there is anything I dislike most, that would be negativity!! When Emilee was laying on her death bed, I kicked a doctor out of her hospital room for being negative. When you are negative, that makes the DEVIL happy. Who are we here to please the devil or GOD? My guess would be God! So I ask you to stop with the nasty remarks, mind your business and pray that God will remove the bitter seed from your heart.

As for my church family, they are wonderful. I never knew how supportive any one person could be until I went through the hardest time in my life, much less a whole church family. I want to thank Old Plank Road Baptist Church for their prayers, visits, phone calls, gifts and everything else that was done for us during Emilee's illness. From the moment Emilee was diagnosed with Leukemia, my church family was there to support me. Even now, my church family is still supporting me, 2 months after my Emilee went to meet Jesus!

So "negative" people, use your time wisely! Start spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and stop spreading "trash" about a church. The Bible says: For ALL (you) have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.....Just remember, the next time you start pointing a finger, you have 4 more pointing back at you!

improve op daycare

my family are members of old plank baptist. it is a great church to be a part of. i also have a child in opca, which an awesome school with the best teachers, i am blessed to have my child there. she has came so far and progressed so much academically we couldnt be more impressed. the lunches, snacks, and drinks could stand to be somewhat more healthier but i guess that isnt up to us is it. my main concern is the daycare. to be quite honest its scary. i hate the thought of leaving my child there. the mornings are seemingly o.k. but the afternoon is a nightmare! i dont think any of the evening staff in the daycare are over 19 yrs old, i can almost bet they have no experience with small children, i know for a fact no one is cpr certified, and its "JUST A JOB". the problem is its not really a caring environment. most of the younger "teachers" are sitting, hanging in the hallway, or on their cell phone. there have even been times when their boyfriends are hanging out in the classrooms with them! mothers i ask you-do we know anything about these guys that are around our children? do we know who they are? shouldnt no one be in the classroom but the teacher and students? i was appauled. these "girls" in no way know how to speak to small children muchless 1 yr old toddlers. there have been yelling incidents that i have also witnessed. extended day is pretty much rule free to. i have watched my child and several others run across the street with no supervision, no one is in line, they are scattered and running around. bit dangerous? i have also walked to the fence, took my child out of the gate and if i hadn't said anything nobody would have ever known. quick and easy huh? just this week small kids were walking out to the playground and out of no where here comes a four wheeler SPEEDING right through the kids. i was in shock. two teachers witnessed the whole thing and not a word was said. why is this allowed? what happend to police in parking lot? speak out moms! voice it!

Great Church

I am a former member of Old Plank and I'm writing this response to those that are attacking one of the best churches in Jacksonville and certainly one of the greatest men of God that I have ever met in my life. I love you Bro. Larry and Bro. Gary and I'm praying for all of the church. Bro. Larrys job is to preach the Word of God in which he does faithfully and with the Power of God on his life. I learned along time ago from Dr. E.L. Weinberg Sr., that you really shouldn,t mess with the man of God like this. You are putting your life at risk!!!! The people you are talking about are grown adults and have to answer for themselves, and by the way if they have allready asked God to forgive them for this sins you say that they have committed then that sin is on your account . One last thing I must say and that is Romans 1:22 says "Professing themselves to be wise they became fools". If it is not of God then it must be of the devil!!! Get the behind us satan!!!!! Please quit kicking against the thorns and ask God to forgive you and if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior then please ask him into your heart today and be saved, then when you do all that other stuff will not matter, only Jesus will!!!!!!!!!! SATAN STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
